Tenterfield Rotary Christmas Tree Festival 9 – 11 December

An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until December 11, 2020
Nothing says Christmas like the sight of a beautifully decorated tree – only $10 to enter!
Tenterfield Rotary Club invites schools, child care facilities, community organisations, not for profit organisations, individuals and businesses to design/make a Christmas Tree to be displayed in Tenterfield for the first Rotary Christmas Tree Festival.
Your tree can be traditional, hand-made, retro, wacky or made from recycled products. Prior to the festival trees can be displayed at places of work/school etc.
All trees will be displayed in the School of Arts Theatre for the townspeople of Tenterfield and visitors to view from Wednesday 9 – Friday 11 December (inclusive).
Entry to view the trees will be $3 for adults and free for children accompanied by an adult.
Prizes will be awarded for the following categories:
- Under School Age Child (4 years and under)
- Primary School Child (5-12 years)
- Most Innovative
- Best Use of Recycled Materials
- Business/Community Organisation
- People’s Choice
Attendees can purchase a People’s Choice voting ticket for $1* which also enters the holder into the raffle to win a Christmas hamper (to be drawn on Friday 11 December at approx. 3pm – time TBC).
General Information/Conditions and Rules
- Tree dimensions are maximum 1 m x 1 m x 1.8 m (height) and you will have to provide the base. Minimum sized tree 30 cm.
- Your tree can be traditional, wacky, retro, hand-made, made from recycled or natural materials. No naked flames/candles please.
- Any trees presented which are considered by Rotary to be offensive or inappropriate will be prohibited and no refund given.
- A limited number of power sockets will be available (all electrical components are to have current test and tag dates attached).
- Each entrant should provide an A4 sign advertising their tree.
- Set-up will be on Tuesday afternoon 8 December and your tree can be either delivered ready or decorated on site.
- Collection of trees will be on Saturday morning 12 December before 11am please.
- Please complete the Entry Form and return to Karen Tapscott at Tenterfield Insurance Agencies, 279 Rouse Street with Entry Fee of $10 or you can pay on the day. Entry forms must be submitted before 4pm on Friday 4 December.
