BALD ROCK 50TH ANNIVERSARY GUIDED TOUR

Celebrate 50 years of Bald Rock National Park, whilst learning about the rich biodiversity and history of this spectacular area. Choose from two walks – one up the rockface to the summit, the other along the Bungoona walking track.
The Steep walking track takes you to the top of the largest granite dome in the southern hemisphere. Once at the summit, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding national park and mountains as far north as the Queensland/New South Wales border.
A second guided walk will be on offer and will lead you along the Bungoona walking track. The walk is 3.9km track that gradually climbs through granite boulders and offers the chance to see wildlife. Enjoy the rich biodiversity of the park and learn about the significance and history of the area.
The event will end at the Bald Rock picnic area with a celebratory afternoon tea, including a cake to mark the special occasion.
The guided walks are free, however entry into the park is $8 per vehicle and bookings are essential. Each walk is limited to 30 people.
