My Notes From a Storytelling Lens are seasonal photography workshops, with a dash of soul food, based in Tenterfield in the Northern NSW Highlands of Australia.
These boutique workshops are small and intimate with a maximum of 4 attendees.
The three-day workshop will begin on Friday morning at my small gallery, store, and workshop space on the main street of Tenterfield. The weekend will include visits to some of the most magical places in Tenterfield.
Times:
- Friday 14th April 2023: 9am – approximately 8pm
- Saturday 15th April 2023: 5.30am – approximately 6.30pm
- Sunday 16th April 2023: 8am – midday
My name is Lara Flanagan, a photographer and poet, (I prefer the term storyteller), based in Tenterfield, in the Northern NSW Highlands of Australia.
Over three days I will invite you into my home, my shop, and my storytelling world. The weekend workshop will include multiple excursions with the opportunity to shoot in different locations with different light. I believe that people learn best by doing and that if we were to wait until we were ready, most of us would not start at all. Thus, the weekend will be very hands on from a shooting perspective. The weekend will include a day of theory and conversation, and a day of visits to some of my favourite Tenterfield places with the chance to experiment with the different types of light that fall between dawn and dusk. A final morning will look at the editing process in addition to a wrap-up Q&A.
